Interview was scheduled for 8:45 AM. We got there around 8:15AM, went straight up and security checked us in and we got to meet B, she’s such a sweetheart and really calmed our nerves. Took fingerprints and was asked when do we plan on moving to the states. After the check in with B we were told to have a seat til they called us. Waited about 45 minutes and was called up. Took and oath and fingerprints then got asked, how did we meet? Why only now after 4 years of being married we’ve decided to move to the U.S? Asked about our relationship to the joint sponsor? & checked through our documents and told us everything looks good, unfortunately the medical clearance still hasn’t arrived in their office so once they get that we will be issued the visa and are cleared to go home😊 Now just waiting on that but overall it was a good experience, mostly bc the staff are amazing! Now just anxiously waiting for word on the medical. The Dr that did the medical emailed that they sent the papers over so hopefully if we don’t hear anything today, hopefully we’ll get good news on Monday😊 Good luck to everyone else and God bless y’all journey! So BLESSED to have this website that kept me sane throughout the whole process! Almost there TYJ🙏❤️

Fortunately I was able to attend my husbands interview with him. We arrived 2 hours earlier, but were not able to enter the embassy until the actual time of the interview. Once our time came up, we first went to the window where we met the officer who emailed me 3 days prior to the interview to make sure I had everything ready. While reviewing our paperwork, the officer conducting our interview requested my 2016 tax transcript, but we were still able to do the interview and submit that tax form in afterwards.

Half an hour later, we were finally called back to the window for our interview. A man who was obviously from the US did our interview. He first asked my husband when was the first time we met and started talking. Of course my husband was a nervous wreck (so was I), so he gave him the date of when we first saw each other at church instead of the first date we actually "met". The officer looked down at our application in front of him and looked suspicious. He continued to ask what type of work my husband would like to work in if he came to the US, my husband answered construction, and was then asked why. My husband answered saying he has done construction on the side back home in Samoa with his dad so he grew interest in the job. Since I was standing right next to my husband, the interviewer turned to me and asked what type of work I do. We continued to make conversation of how cold Alaska is and if my husband was ready for it.

At the end, we didn't receive an answer if my husbands visa was approved or not, instead we were handed a form saying we were denied (admin. processing) until we submit the proper/requested documents. As soon as I submitted that tax form, it took about a week until we received an approval.

Ok.. Here we go! We arrived to the Capital on the 17th of July and are actually as I am writing this at the Jardines del Teatro and btw this really is a great place to stay and very close to the counsulate! Well yesterday we arrived and I started freaking out because in my opinion I did not have enough pictures! We took a usb and put pics on it.. so I thought. We went to a place that let you print out pictures but that never went as planned. We left without pictures. All i have on me is my shutterfly picture book. My husband said that that was a sign from god who didn´t want us wasting any more money then need be and reasured me that everything was fine. So ok on the 18th We woke up at 5AM and got ready and got the baby and her things ready as well. As we walked to the consulate at 6:30AM we were greeted with a very long line and of course the oh so great buscones. A lady came up to us and blocked our path and kept going on and ona nd told us tha his pictures needed to be stapled and if we had did that. To get her to leave us alone itold her yes and she left. My husband had Victoria in his arms and we were allowed to get in line quickly and through the metal detectors just as quick. Our lucky number was 155. We waited about an hour and were called to give his passport and certificate de bueno conducta. They asked if we had a child in common and yes and asked for her passport or certificate of birth. In the end they stayed with her birth certificate because their printer was no good and you know what when she closed his file the infamous green ticket was attached! Then he was finger printed. We were then told to sit and wait for our number to be called. after about 1 and 50 min we were called to window 22 and were greeted buy a nice american male with brown hair. He had my husband sign a paper and swore him in. Honestly all he asked were 9 questions.
questions were:
His name
where did i live
whith who did i live
where was my daughter born
when was she born
if i had any other kids
their age
after that he said Felicidades Su Visa Ha Sido APROVADA!! and to go pay domex and gave us the green slip. We had these huge smiles on our faces, heck so did the CO!! All in all we are very satisfied the only thing is that it was so hot!!! I hope this helps! Oh and they did not ask for any photos, phone logs nothing zip nada!! God Bless!
where was i born
when was i born
when did we get married
